About Friday Night Library
Friday Night Library is more than a literary journal—it’s a love letter to poetry and the people who write it. Created to uplift bold, fresh voices, we’re especially passionate about supporting self-published poets and writers from marginalized or underrepresented communities.
Here, poetry isn’t just read—it’s honored. Whether you write free verse, sonnets, haiku, spoken word, or experimental work, Friday Night Library welcomes your voice with care, curiosity, and intention.
With each annual edition, our literary journal honors storytelling through verse—featuring poetry that moves, challenges, and connects. Each edition reflects the heart of our community, offering a timeless space for expression, vulnerability, and craft to come together in beautifully printed form.
Why I Started Friday Night Library
As a poet and lifelong lover of words, I wanted to create something that felt like home—especially for those telling stories in nontraditional ways. Friday Night Library was born from a deep love for poetry and a desire to give writers a place where their voices could be seen, valued, and preserved in print.
We don’t believe poetry should live only online. Our mission is to create something lasting—a space where words can breathe beyond the screen and find their way into readers’ hands, hearts, and homes.

Editor’s Note
Thank you for being here. Friday Night Library is built with love, late nights, and a deep belief in the power of poetry. For now, this journal is a solo endeavor—edited, designed, and brought to life by one pair of hands, with the hope that more will join in time.
